While Hex Games is happy to work with distributors who want to carry our products, we are not interested in losing thousands of dollars and storing hundreds of unsold books in the hopes of convincing distributors to carry our products. Traditional distribution simply isn't a major part of our business model, and when we've used traditional distributors in the past it hasn't been terribly profitable for us. If you're a distributor who wants a huge discount, returnable products, and daily sponge baths from our Marketing Director, you're probably going to be disappointed. On the other hand, if you're a customer service oriented distributor with some customers who'd like you to stock our books, you've come to the right place.
Eligibility
In order to qualify for our distributor terms, you'll need to prove to us that you are an actual game distributor, not a retail store masquerading as a distributor or some schmuck with a lot of space in his garage. If you've been around for a while, we'll probably already know that you're legitimate (our Operations Director has worked in all tiers of the gaming industry, so unless you're a new company he's probably heard of you). If we haven't heard of you, we'll ask for (and follow up on) some references or other proof that you're not a fly-by-night operation.
Discount
Distributors who order product from Hex Games get a 55% discount (in other words, you pay 45% of the cover price for each book ordered). There is no minimum order. If the retail value of your order is more than $250 (net), the discount goes up to 60%.
Shipping
Distributor orders are charged our standard shipping rates with free shipping on orders over $250 (net).
Payment
All orders must be pre-paid by check or PayPal.
Large Orders
Hex is a very small company with (usually) very small print runs. QAGS Second Edition and Spooky: The Definitive Guide to Horror Gaming were printed back before Print on Demand, so we've probably got as many of those as you could ever want. If you're planning on ordering a large quantity (more than 12 or so) of one of our other books, we recommend that you contact us before placing the order to make sure we have enough books in stock.
