Black Inferno was a Paradigm City super-hero in the 1970s. Despite the somewhat misleading name, Black Inferno was capable of controlling all four of the classic elements, and was actually more adept at controlling water than fire. Black Inferno stopped fighting crime in the early 1980s, though he never officially announced his retirement and the reasons for his decision to give up the cowl are unknown. Marvin Jackson currently serves as Paradigm City's fire chief.
