Age of Discovery
1632
- The pirate “Bloody” Bart Quinn is killed. Many people believe that Quinn left a hoard of treasure buried on an island off the coast of Mexico. This legendary treasure has yet to be found.
c. 1820
- Settlers in the Blue River area of Indiana are terrorized by a creature known as the Fire Bear.
1845
- Professor Phillip Points heads out into the world to research monsters.
- The vampire Horace Ray kills his own family in North Carolina.
1849
- Markus Derth founds the Acolytes of Leviathan.
1866
- Jake "Six-Gun" Sawyer forms the Six-Gun Seven.
1867
- Professor Phillip Points finishes his manuscript about monsters, but is killed in a fire.
1876
- James Butler “Wild Bill” Hickok is killed by Jack McCall in Deadwood, South Dakota Territory while playing poker. Hickok was holding two pairs, aces and eights. The hand has since been known as “the dead man’s hand.”
1878
- William "Dead-Eye" Dixon, sole surviving member of the Six-Gun Seven, forms the Lucky Seven.
1895
- Stagger Lee Shelton kills Billy Lyons in cold blood folowing a gambling argument. Shelton is sentenced to death,but after several failed execution attempts, the sentence is commuted to life in prison.

1904
- The Roman Catholic Church establishes the Office of Extraordinary Missions.
1909
- The construction of Witterstadt mansion is completed.
1919
- Stagger Lee Shelton dies in prison.
1922
- A man named Herrick begins doing detective work for the rich and influential.
1925
- Mr. Herrick founds the Herrick Private Investigation Agency.
- A man calling himself Stagger Lee appears in New Orleans, claiming to have been evicted from Hell because The Devil was afraid he would take over.
1926
- A.J. Farmer, Sadie Witterstadt, Jeff Wilscott, Caleb Danforth, and Sean O'Casey meet at a mutual friend’s funeral.
- The Golden Pyramid of Wadoe-yi-Dhahabee is discovered in Egypt.
1927
- A.J. Farmer, Sadie Witterstadt, and friends thwart the Acolytes of Leviathan’s plans in Caledonia, Massachusetts.
- Al Capone begins using the living dead as footsoldiers.
1928
- The FBI assembles a top-secret task force dubbed “The Intangibles” to battle Capone’s undead minions.
1936
- Blues singer Robert Johnson allegedly sells his soul to Satan.
1938
- Businessman Leon Witterstadt dies, and his eccentric daughter Sadie inherits the estate.
1939
- A murder in New York City almost sparks an interplanetary war; the Herrick Agency intervenes and defuses the situation.
1941
- The American Crimefighters' Association assembles to battle Axis agents in America and abroad. Throughout the course of the war, the ACA battles cybernetically enhanced gorillas, surrealist terrorists, submarine pirates, and many other menaces.
1942
- Nazi uber-zeppelins mount an attack on New York City.
1944
- The Kallinikoi foil the Nazi’s Plan Entscheidungskamps but most of them die in the process.
1945
- The ACA disbands after its final mission.
Cold War Era
1946
- American nuclear testing creates giant ants.
1948
- Dr. Henry Fields assists the Navy in killing a sea monster.
- Herbert Gantley founds the Proteus Club in Caledonia
1949
- The Kentuckiana Rasslin' League is founded.
1951
- Myron Hunt publishes the Hunt Curve.
1952
- Dr. Henry Fields founds the Washington University Cryptid Studies Club, also known as M-Force.
1953
- The Herrick Agency helps Mars and Venus negotiate a treaty; tragically the war flares up one final time, doomsday weapons are deployed, and both planets are rendered barren.
1954
- Dr. Henry Fields, A.J. Farmer, and Joe Thursday thwart the ambitions of the Gorilla Gangsters of New York City.
- Camp Waka'Naka is established.
1956
- Washington University student Bill Snyder is killed, Dr. Henry Fields disbands the Cryptid Studies Club, and Abernathy Quinn helps organize a tougher M-Force.
1958
- Galaxikhan attacks.
- The secret society known as The Justice Band is formed. Their original goal is to collect potentially dangerous artifacts to prevent their misuse.
1959
- M-Force moves into Sadie Witterstadt‘s guest house.
- White Hat Studios, formerly known for its Westerns (including several movies about The Six-Gun Seven), produces its first horror movie, The Creature From Beyond.
1961
- The League of Alphabetical Madmen is formed.
- Two University of Kentucky students allegedly experience a “time slip” finding themselves in the middle of an 1979 feud between the Callahan and Deaton clans of Devil’s Hollow, Kentucky. One of the men is killed in the fighting.
1963
- Dr. Unspeakable attempts to unleash the Twelve Great Horrors upon the world. The newly-formed Association of Costumed Adventurers thwarts his plan.
1964
- The Anti-Armageddon Alliance is formed.
- The Maguire Federal Correctional Institute, better known (for reasons not clearly known) as “Tool Town” opens in Montana. Its first inmate is Dr. Unspeakable. A new security designation, “hyper-maximum” was adopted for the facility, the most heavily guarded prison in the nation.
- A small cruise ship operating out of Hawaii disappears during a storm. Its seven passengers and crew are presumed dead.
1965
- The Slugs attack Witterstadt mansion, killing Abernathy Quinn and Sadie Witterstadt.
- M-Force inherits the mansion and the Herakleion.
- Cassius Riley is hired as the first Special Collections Librarian.
- Dr. Henry Fields passes the directorship of M-Force over to Mike Mulligan.
- Captain Jonathan Rickard‘s plane crashes but he is saved by Bigfoot.
1965
- M-Force begins its War on Slugs.
1966
- The short-lived series Lance Jackson & The Red Sun begins airing. Its star would later join M-Force
1967
- The town of Paradise, Mississippi is terrorized by a demonically possessed bulldozer.
1969
- Nigel H. Mert, better known as former ACA member The Spring, rejects modern society for a simpler (and more springocentric) life in the Ozark Mountains. He soon begins to attract followers among the hippie generation, becoming a minor cult figure.
- The short-lived series Lance Jackson & The Red Sun is cancelled after the moon landing negates its premise.
1970
- The Senate investigates M-Force.
- M-Force activities are suspended.
- The Hunt-Ray Curve is put forth.
- Captain Jonathan Rickard inherits The Investigator.
1971
- Samuel Gundersen and others break the monster-hunting ban, leading to Gundersen’s trial.
- During the Senates investigation of M-Force, many cities pass anti-vigilante laws to prevent similar tragedies from occurring due to costumed crimefighters. Ultra City, Minnesota is the most notable exception to the rule. Rather than outlaw “super-heroes,” the city council made resident heroes The Ultra Squad special officers of the city’s police force.
1972
- The Senate passes FMHA-72.
- A crack commando unit is sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn’t commit.
1973
- M-Force reorganizes with a new structure. G. Carlton Saunders takes over as Director.
1975
- The Investigator becomes The Strange Times.
- Cassius Riley retires. Milton Young becomes the new head of M-Force‘s Special Collections team.
1976
- The tour bus belonging to Groovin' Zed & The Roller Kings, who had a minor hit on college radio stations with their song “Peyote,” is found abandoned in the Arizona desert. None of the band members is ever heard from again.
1978
- The FBI covertly launches Project Eightball.
- The Ultra Squad saves Ultra City from ARARARARARAR, God of FIRE and EVIL.
1979
- Sam Milton directs his first movie, The Thing That Came From The Grave The film is a surprise hit.
1980
- Frankie Ampersand founds the Ampersand Detective Agency.
1982
- The Sons of Thunder begin monster hunting.
- Sam Milton forms his own movie studio, Zombie Pictures.
1985
- Stanley Ampersand joins his brother Frankie in L.A.
- The Justice Band, now an ultra-modern crimefighting organization, goes public.
1986
- The Wrath begins operating.
- Edward Morales, forms Morales Industries, a company specializing in “high performance pursuit and evasion vehicles” (spy cars).
1987
- The League of Awesome Dudes is formed.
- Agamemnon Industries creates the bioengineered form of wheat called DR-1174, which inadvertently creates the Grain Giant.
1988
Late 20th Century
1990
- Thomas Shanks goes on a killing spree near Camp Waka'Naka.
1993
- M-Force defeats the Grain Brain.
- ANkST & ANkHS releases their first album, As The Blood Drips Down My Face.
1994
- Classes begin at Charles H. Fort High School in Sherwood, Ohio.
1995
- Mr. Colin Thomas takes over the Universal Rasslin' League.
- Beowulf Van Helsing-Froglick IV founds the Discordian Association for Monster Neutralization.
- The Eightball Special Crisis Response Team is formed.
1997
- A woman claiming to be the reincarnated goddess Artemis founds a temple to herself near Olympia, Washington.
- Austrailian businessman Ian Gallownorth establishes Northwind to protect his investments in the Pacific Rim. Northwind is world’s first corporate sponsored super-hero team.
1998
- Dr. Henry Fields dies of heart congestion.
- Werewolf Zack Willoughby narrowly survives an encounter with M-Force.
- A costumed crime fighter known as Los Zapatos appears in New York City.
21st Century
2000
- M-Forcer Barney Magnum discovers a Slug in New York City.
2002
- M-Force celebrates its 50 year anniversary and opens up a European office in the Herakleion.
2003
- The Paranoia virus appears.
2004
- Cleveland, Ohio experiences a sharp spike in monstrous activity.
2005
- A new incarnation of the ACA is formed.
The Future
c. 2070
- Yum Yum Girl wages a bloody, brutal war to restore the innocence of her youth.
2314
- The original ACA is transported from 1941 to do battle with their old nemesis, The Steel Swastika.
