Unlike his brother Frankie, Stanley Ampersand is much more comfortable around books and gadgets than people. Stanley is kind of a dork, and gets nervous when meeting new people--the fact that quite a few of the people he meets are beautiful, famous women only makes matters worse. Despite his relative lack of social skills, Stanley is extremely useful to Ampersand & Ampersand because of his vast intelligence. In addition to knowing all sorts of obscure lore and strange theories, Stanley is skilled at designing a variety of devices useful in dealing with ghosts and other creatures. While Frankie is the voice and face of the operation, Stanley is the brain.
